Malaysian PM Meets with PM Hun Sen

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen received a courtesy call from the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob, at the Peace Palace on the morning Thursday morning.

According to a press release issued by the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister Hun Sen and the Malaysian Prime Minister will hold talks on bilateral relations and cooperation, including trade and socioeconomic investment, security and national defense and socioeconomic rehabilitation in the aftermath of the Covid-19 crisis. The two Prime Ministers will also exchange views on regional and international issues of common interest and concern.

 "At the end of the meeting, the two Prime Ministers will hold a joint press conference," the statement said.

Malaysian Prime Minister Dato Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob begain his official state visit to Cambodia on Wednesday, 23 February, to further strengthen the friendship, solidarity and cooperation between Cambodia and Malaysia for the benefit of both countries.
